French Customs Seize Counterfeit Electronic Components


According to CBP.gov, the CBP, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, with partnership of the French Customs, have worked vigorously targeting counterfeit computer and electronic components "including semiconductors, computer networking equipment, hard drives, and memory cards".

The CPB have seized 480 shipments of possible harmful counterfeit electronic components between November 1st, 2013 to April, 2013.

Al Gina, CBP Assistant Commissioner, and François Richard, French Customs Attaché , both agree that these counterfeit products are a huge problem for the country's economy and the people's health and safety. Customs leaders from both nations are extremely happy with the results, and plan to continue working together.
