Semiconductor Book to Bill Ratio

The Semiconductor Book-to-Bill Ratio climbed back above 1 in February of 2012, the first time since September of 2010 ending a 16 month streak of bookings being less than billings.  (Source: Semiconductor Equipment and Material International and www.economy.com)


Global Semiconductor Shipments Fall

Global shipments of semiconductors, as compiled by the Semiconductor Industry Association and reported by www.economy.com, have been decreasing since November of 2011.

Epic International Electronics: Investigation

According to Eagletribune.com, the DCIS, NCIS, and and the US ICE has once again searched and seized suspect counterfeit parts from the company called Epic International Electronics, Inc..

According to the US Government, this is an ongoing investigation and agents were seen carrying boxes of "unknown" goods out of the house.

Epic International Electronics Inc. sold capacitors, fuses, semiconductors and have warehouse locations in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
